It was the Clark Cup Final last Friday at Shepton Mallet between Glastonbury Reserves and Peasedown Reserves, another good crowd witnessed a good competitive game.
Glastonbury opened the scoring after ten minutes. Steve Njie latching on to a loose ball and forcing it past the Peasedown keeper. They went further ahead with a great shot from Tom Ball, giving the goalkeeper no chance. Before half-time, Man of the Match, Steve Njie, made it 3–0.
In the second half, Peasedown came more into the game and with only ten minutes remaining on referee, Darren Gay's watch, Lee Denner reduced the arrears with a good goal and with just minutes left in the game, the crowd thought they would be, again, watching extra time when Henry Steeds netted a second. Glastonbury, after a few scares, hung on to lift the cup.
The trophies were presented to the two teams by the league's Vice-Chairman, Ryan Grubb. President, Brian Wells, presented the Man of the Match award to Glastonbury's Steve Njie.

In the Third Division, it is a very tight situation. Victoria Street are well behind with their fixtures, having eight games left to play and they have to go to league leaders, Chew Magna Reserves, who have one game left, the Street team are seventeen points adrift.
This Friday, it's the Willmott Cup Final at Radstock Town's ground, kick-off at 7.30 p.m., between Chew Magna Reserves and Victoria Street, which should be a cracking game from two of the best teams in the Third Division.
