After a hard-fought game, our Men Champions of the Southern Area Mid-Somerset League, were beaten by the Northern Area Champions by a small margin. Well Done to the Men for getting so far!
In the County League the men are doing quite well in all the A, B and C Teams with their wins.
The Ladies are also doing very well in the Wild League and fighting for the top position, winning their last few games and adding greatly to their points. The picture above shows our most recent League game win against Shepton Mallet.
The Round Robin was eventually played having been postponed because of the weather. The winner was Mary Harston with Jean Thomas taking the runner-up's position.
We had an enjoyable home mixed match against Paulton Bowls Club which resulted in a close finish. We lost by only four shots.
Our last Mixed Mid-Somerset League Match was played at Stothert and Pitt in the rain but we managed to secure a win by four shots.
Thank goodness for fine weather on Sunday for our home mixed match against Clarence Park. This was played in a great friendly spirit with everyone trying their best to beat the green as well as each other. Stopping for tea at ten ends then on to 21 ends to finish with Norwest just taking the match. The game was followed by a lovely tea. Our winning rink was kindly presented with sticks of rock by the Clarence Park Captain.
AH
