Head Coach of Norton Radstock Amateur Boxing Club, Sean Jenkins, was super pleased with the skills put on show from Ben Coles and Mitchell Braithwaite and immensely proud of the heart shown by Jayden Walker having his first proper bout at a recent show in Christchurch, Dorset.

Sean commented: “Jay never stopped going forward and certainly played his part in what was an outstanding bout.

“After several bouts cancelled over the last few months, it was great to finally see Jay going hard for a victory, but he was narrowly beaten on points.

“Seeing these young lads perform like they did fills me with huge pride and shows that their hard work is paying off for them. Onwards to the next one!”

That next one was last weekend for Mitch Braithwaite, boxing his final skills bout in front of a joyous crowd of 500 people enjoying a dinner and a fundraising event in Leominster.

Sean would just like to remind people that the club is having its own boxing dinner show on the 21st of this month at Conygre Hall, Timsbury.

Sean added: “It is going to be a fantastic night. The lads in the gym are training really hard and there is a great buzz about the place.”
