Following their final Cotswold League match, twelve swimmers from Norton Radstock Swimming Club made an early morning start to take part in the Salisbury Stingrays ASC Spring Open Meet.

The event attracts swimmers from throughout Hampshire and the South West and provides the opportunity to compete on an individual basis against swimmers from other clubs. There are eighteen events which are swum on a heat-declared winner basis and medals are awarded for the top three in each age group.

Between them, they achieved twenty personal best times and five medals. Georgia Boulton won Gold in the girls' ten years 50m Freestyle, Joseph McLachlan, Silver in the boys' ten years 50m Breaststroke, Liam Willcox, Silver in the boys' open age group 50m Breaststroke, Zachary Keeling, Bronze in the boys' eleven years 100m Breaststroke and Daniel Crocker, Bronze in the boys' thirteen years 50m Breaststroke.

All the swimmers should be very proud of themselves for the excellent performances they put in and the way they supported each other throughout the event.

Team Manager, Kay Willcox, would also like to thank Nicky Vause for representing the club as an official throughout the event and all the parents for giving up their weekend to travel to Salisbury and support their children.
