Paulton travelled to Highworth Town and came through the First Qualifying Round of the Isuzu FA Trophy in heavy pouring rain in North Wiltshire.

Kyle Tooze put Rovers in front on twenty five minutes put through by Ed Butcher he went on to slot past home keeper Alex Avenell.

Three minutes later Highworth equiliser in controversial fashion as Joah Hall clearly offside knocked the ball across the goal and touched in by Will Davidson again in an offside position. Where was VAR!

Rovers picked themselves up in the second half and restored the lead in the 50th minute as Tooze broke down the right played in the overlapping Will Harvey whose low cross was driven into the net by Dave O'Hare for what proved to be the visitors winner.

They now travel to Cirencester Town on Saturday, 24th September for the next round after the Gloucestershire side won 5-3 at Basingstoke.

Paulton travel to Gosport Borough in the Emerites FA Cup on Saturday.
