Paulton lost to a very good Sholing side although there was controversy leading up to both goals a late red card shown to captain Neil Martin.

Both had chances in an even first half with both keepers keeping the attacks at bay. Sholing left winger Marvin McLean was lively whilst Rovers best chance saw a move started by Dam McBeam finding Dave O'Hare who threaded through to Will Hairston whose shot was narrowly off target.

On the restart Fatah Makhloui saw his shot held by Aaron Sainsbury in the visitors goal whilst McBeam had a shot blocked.Sholing keeper Ryan Gosling was out smartly to snuff out danger from Hailston. 

Sholing took the lead on sixty nine minutes as Gosling free kick fell to Lee Wort who slip the ball past Sainsbury.

Rovers responded with a fine one-two between Joe Morgan and Hailston before Gosling stopped out danger.

Sholing added a second goal on eighty six minutes as Paulton were harshly ruled to have committed a foul by the referee. Makhloui's well taken free kick was headed home by Byron Mason.Rovers are home to Bishop Cleeve on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
