The Mid-Somerset League weekend started on Friday with a cracking Dimmock Green KO Cup Final at Shepton Mallet, in front of over 300 spectators, between the top two teams in the Premier League, Coleford Athletic and Stoke Rovers.

The sides were divided by just one goal, scored by Stoke's top scorer, Ossian Gould, who was quicker to react to a loose ball and tapping it home to give his side the lead at half-time.

With just two minutes gone in the second half, Coleford's Curt Macinnerny levelled up the score to 1–1 with a fine shot. During the rest of the half, it was Coleford against Lewis Stainer, as the Stoke goalkeeper made save after save to keep the score at 1–1. The game went into extra time, with Stoke coming more into the game during the final thirty minutes. With time ticking away, the ever-alert Gould found himself free with only the goalkeeper to beat, winning the game for Stoke with a powerful shot into the roof of the net. President, Brian Wells, presented the Man of the Match award to the Stoke goalkeeper, Stainer, which came as no surprise. On Saturday, the Semi-Final of the Clark Cup between Glastonbury Reserves and Radstock A took place at the Abbey Stadium. In the first half, both goalkeepers had little to do and it was the Radstock goalkeeper who had to pick the ball out of the net. Referee, Dan Williams, who had an excellent game, was right on the the spot to award a penalty to the home team, which led to the 1–0 lead at half-time. The second half belonged to the visitors and they had only themselves to blame for losing the game with at least six easy chances missed. The game ended 1–0 to the home side, who now play Peasedown Reserves in the Final at Shepton Mallet on Friday, April 24th, at 7.30 p.m.

Interhound overcame Peasedown Reserves, 2–0, in the Quarter-Final of the Charity Cup. Farrington Reserves had a tremendous 5–1 win at home to Premier side, Mells, and in the same competition, Baltonsborough go forward, beating Camerton at home, 5–1.
