Timsbury Athletic provided the opposition for Tunley in the tenth Freda Hookings MBE Memorial Trophy.

The trophy was donated by Freda's family to be played between Tunley and a selected local team. Not only was Freda President of Tunley, she was also the first woman to be a Vice-President of the Somerset Football Association and awarded the MBE six years later in recognition.

The game proved competitive and a good pre-season run-out, with both sides taking the oppurtunity to use substitutes and alter their line-ups throughout the match.

Timsbury struck first after twelve minutes via Justin Dowling and Tunley pulled one back shortly after through Chris Young.

Timsbury then stepped up the pressure and scored a further three times before the break, Justin Dowling added a second, followed by Craig Dowling, making it 3–1 and the pick of Justin Dowling's hat trick, a 28-yard effort that crashed in off the underside of the crossbar to make it 4–1.

After the break, Tunley reorganised and were rewarded midway through, when Jason Curtis crossed from the right for Chris Young to comfortably head home. The game ended 4–2 in Timsbury's favour. Matt Weaver was awarded Tunley's Man of the Match, while James Hailston was adjudged to be Timsbury's Man of the Match.

After the game, players and supporters enjoyed drinks and a BBQ.

Tunley would like to thank Flash Lewis and his assistants for officiating and everybody that helped out on the day. Tunley's league campaign starts this Saturday, away to Cutters Reserves, 3 p.m. kick-off. The Reserves are at home on the same day versus High Littleton in a pre-season friendly, kick-off, 2 p.m.
