Organisers of the Roger Tabb Memorial Trophy, Karen and Mike Emery, could not have been more pleased on Saturday, 5th April to see that, at long last, the sun was shining for this annual event, which was well supported.
Played as a Stableford with teams of three, the eventual winners were J. Fuller, Colin Moon and Phil Winsley, with second place going to A.Flagg, B. Phelps and N. Tabb.
The Final of the Winter League saw Ben Josham defeating last year's winner, Phil Winsley.
In the first round of the Wally Francis Cup, it is J. Fuller, net 60, who leads from Rob Emery, net 60, with Mike Emery in third, net 62. The March Medal for Division One was won by R. Emery, net 56, 2nd Ben Josham, net 58, with D. Wellington 3rd, net 60. Division Two was won by M. Stanford, net 60, on countback from T. Marsh, net 60 (it's nice to see some new faces winning) and P. Winsley 3rd, net 62.
In the Wessex League, the team has had mixed fortunes, losing 3–2 and winning 3–2. In the Wessex President Cup, Fosseway entered two teams, finishing first and second.
