A tough fixture for the Writhlington team of Graham Steer, Callum Nowell, Alex Hull and Jane Hamlin.
It seems like one of the Backwell players, who was also the Club coach, would normally have played in their First team, but chose to play for the Seconds. It was good news to hear that Graham and Alex managed to beat him and his partner to claim our two points. They couldn’t, however,
repeat the feat against the Backwell second pair. Jane and Callum gave a good account of themselves too, but the scores are unknown for their matches.
