Tunley played hosts to unbeaten Chew Magna Reserves in what proved to be an entertaining and competitive match, which was a credit to both teams and the referee.

Despite being goalless at half-time, both sides created chances, most notably the home side who hit the crossbar and the upright.

After the break, Tunley grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and produced some great football, resulting in David Fairweather breaking the deadlock in the 54th minute with a fine individual goal. Tunley increased the advantage seven minutes later in similar style.

Chew pulled a goal back in spectacular fashion when their number eleven was given time and space to unleash a thirty-yard shot which cleared the fingertips of Steve Angell and dipped under the crossbar in the 66th minute. The visitors then pushed on looking for the equaliser, but the home defence held firm. Thanks to the hard-working Nathan Dumble in midfield and the intelligent running and movement of the front three,

Tunley went close to increasing their lead. Boston Rovetta-Wood was twice denied by some great keeping from the Chew goalie.

The Reserves are back in action on 17th November, away to Evercreech, while the First Team are at home to Imperial this Saturday, kick-off 2.30 p.m.
