Not much golf in this wet weather, but there are always jobs to do!
There may be little golf played at the moment, but Wells Golf Club members are happy to be out in the fresh air giving a helping hand,
Many members have taken the opportunity to practise their golf swing on the driving range during the poor weather, but the balls just sink into the ground and the machine, which Adrian Bishop, Club Professional, usually drives, cannot retrieve the balls plugged in the mud.
A crowd of members responded to Sue Wells' call to come and help recover over 1,000 balls, armed with sticks, hoes and trowels.
The job was soon accomplished and the balls put through the ball-washing machine. A well-earned cup of tea was enjoyed afterwards.
