Earlier this week, Radstock’s Ross Whittock agreed to co-drive the final two rounds of the European Rally Championship and Wales Rally GB, alongside 22-year-old junior driver, Chris Ingram, in the ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team, Opel Adam R2.
Chris joined the Opel factory team last season and at present, is lying second in the European Junior Category. The final rounds consist of Rally Di Roma Capitale, starting in the capital of Rome next weekend, then followed by Rally Liepaja in Latvia in October. Rally GB is outside of the championship, but will be supported by Network Q.
Ross said: “This is the opportunity I have been working for, a step up into Europe with a very promising and quick junior. We need to win the category next weekend to give more security to a championship win, but with two days in the mountains on very twisty asphalt roads, we also need to take care of the car.”
