The Men’s Firsts finally got their campaign under way with a fine 6–4 win over second place Knowle, which we hope will kick-start their surge out of the relegation zone. The Seconds had an incredible 8–2 win at Downend, despite every obstacle being put in their way. The Thirds convincingly saw off any promotion challenge from the team below them, Cleeve Hill. Only the Fourths and Fifths had disappointing losses. In contrast, the Ladies’ table-topping Seconds and Thirds were in very unfamiliar territory – the Seconds losing their first match of the season and the Thirds losing to championship rivals Crescent.
