Somer Valley Rediscovered are holding events across the locality to celebrate the history of the Somer Valley and all it has to offer.

Somer Valley Rediscovered Project Officer, Phoebe Webster, said: “We had a great time on the Bat Walk in Waterside Valley on the 12th of September.

“We saw and heard Common and Soprano Pipistrelles along the brook hunting and socialising.

“Twenty three people took part, and all got to try using a bat detector to hear their echolocation.”
