Congratulations to Duncan Rideout, from Chilcompton, who took part in a 100-mile, sponsored off-road cycle ride on Saturday, 14th July, travelling along the South Downs Way from Eastbourne to Winchester.

Around six hundred other cyclists took part, with the ride organised by the British Heart Foundation. A few cyclists found the hot weather overpowering, but Duncan and many more made it over the finish line, thanks to the stewards, who supplied cold drinks along the route.

So far, Duncan has raised just over £1,000 in sponsorship money for the British Heart Foundation. He would like to thank all relatives and friends for their generosity and support, and to his colleagues at Yeo Valley, not only for their donations, but to those who arranged extra events to help him raise even more money.
