Making our Communities Safer and Making our Services Stronger are the overarching strategic priorities in Avon Fire & Rescue Service’s (AF&RS) Service Plan, which shapes the future for the Service and is now out for consultation.

Local people are invited to hear more about the proposals from Fire Officers and AF&RS staff at a virtual consultation event on Monday, 31st January. The event will give local residents insight into the planning process and an overview of the AF&RS Service Plan Proposal 2022 - 2025.Attendees will have the opportunity to ask any questions, of the plan and the future of the Service, in an open question and answer session.

The event will be hosted on Microsoft Teams from 17:30 – 19:00 on Monday, 31st January. Local people are invited to register for a free ticket to the event.

All fire and rescue services across the country are required to have an Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP) which assesses local and national risk and outlines how the Service intends to use its resources to address this.

The Service Plan Proposals consultation is open until Friday, 18th February 2022. The anonymous feedback will then be collated and considered as part of the Service Plan 2022-2025, which will be submitted to the Fire Authority for their approval at their March meeting, before the Service Plan is published on 1st April.
