Police say a report about comments made towards children at a Midsomer Norton school was based on a “misunderstanding.”
On Thursday, February 6, a spokesman for Bath and North East Somerset Neighbourhood Policing said: “Late last week a suspicious incident was reported to Avon and Somerset Police around a male making comments towards school children at Norton Hill school in Midsomer Norton.
“This matter has been investigated by the local beat officer and all involved parties have been identified and spoken to.
“The police, the school and the parents concerned are all now happy this was a misunderstanding and we have no ongoing safeguarding concerns in relation to this incident.”
