Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision in Bath.

The cyclist, a 72-year-old man, was in collision with a wall in Widcombe Hill, close to the junction with Macaulay Buildings, in the Claverton Down area of Bath, at just after midday on New Year’s Day (Tuesday).

The man remains in a serious condition at Southmead Hospital.
