In the last few weeks residents in Bath and North East Somerset have reported fraudulent calls claiming to be from revenue and customs.
Both calls were made to elderly residents who were distressed by threats of jail if they did not pay as asked. Thankfully, neither handed over any bank details and have since been visited by Police. Police advise that residents who receive calls such as this do not give out any personal information over the phone. A genuine company will not mind you calling back at another date to confirm.
