Well, I’m back, trying to keep you all informed of what’s going on. It always seems a bit quiet after Christmas. The Christmas party was well attended and everyone enjoyed themselves.

January’s meeting was a different story. The attendance was very low as some, like me, were on holiday, and others had prior engagements. But the ones that were there enjoyed one of Hazel’s quizzes.

We were back to normal by February. Rick Cross, who was a leader in the Underwater Rescue branch of the police force, gave a very detailed, and some- times amusing, account of his time on duty. Everyone enjoyed his talk and after- wards he had a chat with members, answering their questions.

The next item on our calendar is our March meeting, where slides are being shown by Rod Bruce. His slides are usually of local places, so should be very entertaining. Don’t forget, this meeting will be on the second Wednesday, which is the 11th, as the following week, we are off to Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales.

This trip is very well supported, with a full coach, so the committee would like to

thank you all for your support. It makes our job much more worthwhile when the attendance is good.

Our monthly trips will start in April, with a mystery trip. These are usually very good, and we never seem to know where we are going until we are there! We have some very interesting day trips coming up in the next year, so please support us whenever you can.

Well, that is it for now, hope to see you on 11th March. Anne Morgan
