Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A4, from 8pm October 13 to 6am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road entry slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion northbound, on A46 to Swainswick and return.

A36, from 7pm October 14 to 6am October 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 both directions Limpley Stoke to Beckington roundabout carriageway closure for horticulture, southbound, diversion via - A4, A350, A363 North Bradley, A361, northbound, diversion via - As above in reverse.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
