The village of Paulton is welcoming a new addition to the streets, this time in the form of a Tattoo Studio. In a bid to raise as much money as possible, Lucid Shadow, based in Unit 34A of Old Mills Industrial Estate, are dedicating their open evening to raising funds for Suicide Prevention UK.

Bethan, from Lucid Shadow, told The Journal: “We have recently opened a brand new tattoo studio in Paulton and we are hosting a charity fundraising open evening on Saturday, 2nd March from 5pm to 8:30pm in aid of raising funds for Suicide Prevention UK, a Bristol based charity.

“We offer a safe, inclusive and accessible space and pride ourselves on the highest standards of health and safety, quality of work and professionalism.

“We chose the name Lucid Shadow because it represents the duality of light (lucid) and dark (shadow), and it symbolises that after every dark night, the sun will rise again, giving hope to people that even if they’re going through dark times, it won’t last forever. This is why we felt that choosing Suicide Prevention UK was a fitting choice for our first charity event.

“We have some volunteers coming from the charity to help us spread the word of the lifesaving work they do and we have various ways we’ll be raising money on the day, including selling donated yummy treats from Huggenkiss Bakery with all sales going to the charity, doing a raffle with the proceeds going to the charity, offering discounts on any services (including tattoos, laser, piercing and a range of beauty treatments) booked on the night with a % of the bookings going to the charity, as well as offering 15% off piercings done on the night with a further 10% going to the charity.”
