A fabulous, festive, fifth Cam Valley Arts Trail was celebrated across villages in the Cam Valley over the weekend.

Forty artists from the group showcased their work and shared their talents through free workshops in many diverse crafts: photos in fabric, willow snails, needle felting, gilding wood, botanical printing and batik painting, to mention a few.

Chair of the group, Karen George, said: “We are thrilled that so many people took the opportunity to visit our art trail over the weekend and support all of our local artists, and to help us celebrate our fifth birthday too!”

Helen Rushton, at the Clutton venue, said: “We’ve received so many positive comments from visitors: ‘Magical November morning’; ‘A fun, and a learning experience’; ‘Really enjoyed meeting the makers of such splendid artwork’.

The Cam Valley Arts Trail hope to see many more people at the workshops event on Saturday, 24th February in Timsbury, and readers should save the date of Saturday, 28th April for our Spring Exhibition and Sale, also in Timsbury.
