On Saturday 28th and Sunday, 29th July, a Flower Festival is being held at St Peter’s Church, Camerton and the theme will be ‘Wedding Anniversaries’.
The church will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and it is guaranteed that many beautiful and artistically imaginative arrangements will be on display for visitors to see and admire.
Admission to the Flower Festival at the church is completely free of charge, but visitors will be invited to show their appreciation by making a donation they feel is appropriate to the benefit of St Peter’s Church Fabric Fund. At a previous Flower Festival at St Peter’s Church, the exhibited displays were of an amazingly high standard, with a great many complimentary accolades recorded.
Visitors are assured that the arrangements this year will most certainly exceed the levels of past festivals, as exhibitors become ever more creative in both imagination, skills, technique, available materials and ideas. Light refreshments will be available in the church on both Saturday and Sunday.
Additionally, there will be a Cheese and Wine Preview Evening in the church on Friday, 27th July. Commencing at 7 p.m. with admission by ticket. This will present an opportunity for visitors to admire the numerous arrangements at this traditionally very friendly and sociable occasion.
Tickets can be purchased from Valerie Swain on: 01761 470150 or Liz Dakin on: 01761 435580.
St Peter’s Church Camerton can be found at the bottom of Skinners Hill, signposted from the junction with the A367 Radstock to Bath road or from the B3115 Timsbury to Bath road and the lane leading to the church is directly opposite the National Osteoporosis Society headquarters in the village.
