The very popular Camerton Court Gardens will reopen this weekend on Saturday, 15th and Sunday, 16th July from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m., each day, by kind permission of the Biggs family.

This is probably the most eagerly anticipated and important event of the Camerton village calendar and the highlight of the year.

Visitors to the gardens will be able to stroll on the terraces and admire the immaculate lawns, whilst also appreciating the mixed borders and flowers of the formal gardens. Meander amongst the magnificent array of trees and shrubs and also see the Italian and Japanese themed areas. The walled kitchen garden is productive with fruit trees and an extensive range of vegetables.

For those intent on improving their own garden, there will be a selection of plants for sale. Teas with homemade cakes will be available in the courtyard.

Of additional interest will be a craft stall with a range of hand knitted and crocheted children’s items and toys and the ever popular ‘Tuzzie Mussie’ handmade posies.

St Peter’s Church, situated adjacent to Camerton Court, with direct access from the gardens, will be open for those who wish to visit and sit in the peaceful and tranquil surroundings.

Whilst there, one can admire the architecture and appreciate the history. Teas and cake will be served in the church.

Camerton Court, (BA2 OPU), can be found some two miles North West of Radstock, off the A367 and will also be signposted from the B3115, Bath to Timsbury road. There is an admission fee with all proceeds going to St Peter’s Church Fabric Fund.

Whilst there is extensive parking, unfortunately dogs are not allowed within the gardens. For further details, please telephone: 01761 470606 or: 01761 470336.
