Last week’s photograph was really difficult, and technically hard to award right answers to, as we found out! The snowy scene of last week’s Bath-bound Pines Express was pictured between Midsomer Norton and Westfield, taken from the pit path on its way to Radstock in January 1955. Many thanks to David Shearn for bringing it in to us!

As a consequence, there were not very many of you with correct guesses this week. Well done to: Dave Hazelton, Joe Bohan, Frankie Ford, Les Box and Hannah Selway, Dan Clark, Norma and Alan Norris, Andrew Thayer and Norma Attwood.

If you think you know the location of this week’s Mystery Photograph, supplied by a reader, and would like a mention next week, email: contactus@mnrjournal. co.uk or via Facebook or Twitter: @MNRJournal.

Thanks to our brilliant readers who have been supplying photographs and of course the main supporters of this feature, Radstock Museum, who host ‘Back In The Day,’ a Local History Group (formerly ‘Memories over Elevenses’), which is held on the First Friday of every month at the Museum, (next one is this Friday, 6th March), 10.30 a.m. until 12 noon. Everyone is welcome; bring old photos, objects, stories and memories and join us for complimentary refreshments. Bring a friend or come and make some new ones!

Don’t forget, if you have your own Mystery Photograph that you would like to test our readers with, you can email us or pop in to our office on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays with your picture for us to scan and return. Thank you!
