A number of bus services in and around Bath are set to change from 2nd November as First adjusts some local routes.
Talking about the changes being made, Simon Ford, Commercial Manager for First West of England, says: "We will be taking over the operation of evening, Council funded, journeys and adjusting the timetables slightly. For customers, this means that there should be some new opportunities to travel."
New timetables for the affected services will be available to download from the website (under Journey Planning/Timetable Booklets) in the coming weeks. Hard copy timetables will be available from the travel shops in Bath and Bristol from 31st October. Park and Ride Services, 21, 31, 41, will run more frequently in the run-up to Christmas.
Service 178 (Bath – Bristol) and Service 179 (Bath – Midsomer Norton): First will take over the operation of evening journeys on Services 178 and 179 from 2nd November. The timetables for both services will be adjusted slightly, with a number of additional evening journeys added in. The evening journeys on Service 178, which currently run to Writhlington, will be replaced by the extension of two journeys on Service 179, offering a new evening link from Midsomer Norton to Writhlington.
Service 379 (Bath – Bristol): The timetable is being adjusted to add in a later, last journey (Monday – Saturday) from Bristol to Bath via Midsomer Norton (departing Bristol Bus Station at 20.52 hours). For more details, visit: http://www.firstgroup.com/bath">www.firstgroup.com/bath
