SWALLOW Charity is planning pop-up café events at the Midsomer Norton Rugby Club.

After a successful trial last year the café will open from 8.30am to midday on the fourth Thursday of each month beginning on February 26, and on the fifth Thursday for the months April and July.

A spokesperson said: “The cafe offers a unique opportunity for Swallow members, local teenagers and adults with learning disabilities, to use catering skills learnt in the main Swallow cafés, and earn some money.”

The charity provides employment training to members through the two Community Cafes in Radstock and Peasedown St John. The pop-up cafes at the rugby club have made possible through support from Midsomer Norton and Radstock Rotary Club and Midsomer Norton Town Council.
