On Monday, 4th June, friends, members and staff at SWALLOW, the local charity supporting teenagers and adults with learning disabilities, met to officially open a new memorial rose garden which has been planted at the SWALLOW centre in Westfield.

The garden has been planted in memory of local philanthropists, Brian and Margaret Roper, who were generous supporters of the charity since its foundation and will offer a place of reflection and peace for those involved with SWALLOW in times of grief.

Beverley Craney, Chief Executive, said: “This is a lovely place for friends and family to remember SWALLOW members who have passed, and smile for the happiness and joy that they brought.”
