As part of Paulton’s commemoration of World War One in 2016, a tribute to the women of World War One will be shown in the Wesley Methodist Hall, Paulton, on Saturday, 8th October at 7.30 p.m. Doors will be open from 6.30 p.m. onwards, when light refreshments will also be served.

It will be an entertaining evening, with live music and a specially commissioned film. Music will be performed by local musicians, Jacqueline Bevan, Jamie Hughes and Linda Stocks. The evening will cost you nothing – entry and refreshments are free!

The event is being sponsored by the Parish Council. Anne Lyons, Chair of Paulton Parish Council, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Women of World War One event being held on 8th October in Paulton Methodist Hall.

“This is the second event that the Parish Council has paid tribute in remembering the 100 years since the breakout of the First World War. It will be a tribute in words, music and images.”

Do come along to what will be a fascinating evening where women’s stories are brought to life.
