Rewired Dance, a community youth dance group providing affordable dance lessons, recently held a free summer dance school.

As part of the summer school, each student was invited to bring along an item of long life food. The food collected was then donated by Rewired Dance to the Community Food Network (CFN). CFN is a group of local volunteers, who since February have been providing ‘Care Bags’ of food to local people who are struggling with food issues.

In addition to the food, Rewired Dance also raised £40 for CFN. A spokesperson for CFN said: “We are so grateful to Rewired Dance for holding the event and collecting the food which was used to supplement our Care Bags. The money that Rewired Dance raised by the event was used to buy household cleaning materials and toiletries that normally we can’t afford to donate to our Guests. CFN would like to say a massive thank you to Rewired Dance for supporting CFN”.
