Tabor Independent Methodist Church in North Road, Timsbury, has been busy over the last few weeks in the run up to Christmas.

Mrs Margaret West led a Family Service on the first Sunday of Advent; this Service included the lighting of the Advent Ring and the Congregation were invited to decorate the Christmas Tree.

In the absence of “grown up” musical instruments, the congregation were handed out toy ones to accompany the lively Christmas carols and hymns; needless to say these were played with much gusto – does Tabor have talent?

The Christmas Extravaganza held the following week attracted much interest. One little boy was quoted as saying: “I don’t know how I missed seeing Father Christmas fly from the school to this Church”. Even Father Christmas has his talents!

The Tabor Ringers have also been very busy playing at local venues, with some members having to hop (or fly?) from the Extravaganza to Paulton to play at the switching on of the village lights. Father Christmas was there before us, so he must fly faster.

The next event at Tabor is the Carol Service on 18th December at 3.30pm. This will be led by Margaret and will include items from the Tabor Ringers. Light refreshments will be served after the Service.

We would love to see our Church full; can you make this happen?

Everyone is welcome.

Margaret is also leading the Christmas Day Service commencing at 10.30am. Again, everyone will be given a warm welcome.
