The ceremony of Dressing of Graves once again took place across the region, honouring those service and ex-service men and women who are laid to rest in the area. Not all of them died in battle but they all served their crown and country.

The events took place as far afield as Ston Easton and Dunkerton.

Unfortunately, unless the local Councils, in agreement with the clergy wish to take on the sponsorship of all the graves in their local cemetery, or a member of the public wishes to continue to lay a spray on a family grave, this will be the last year the event will be open to the general public.

The Branch would like to take this opportunity to thank all those Councils, clergy and individual sponsors for their support and interest in the past.

Residents lined the streets of Midsomer Norton to remember the service men and women who gave their lives.
