Pupils at St. John’s Primary School expressed their thanks to nurses and all the work they have done for our community this past year, and continue to do so.

Last Wednesday (13th May) was International Nurses Day and the school’s collective worship sessions focussed on those who care for others. Pupils also found out more about the lives and legacy of Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale, whose 200th anniversary of her birth was also this week.

Each class chose a local care home, hospital or doctors’ surgery and made wonderful, unique cards, signed by the children. These will now be delivered to various organisations and individuals in the healthcare sector to show our appreciation for everything they have done for our community.
