During the last week of term, Buttercup and Sunflower classes at Peasedown St John Primary School were busy creating Christmas Cards for the school’s link with Age UK.

The idea was suggested to the school by Tracy Scane, who is the Nana of Scarlett in Buttercup class.

Tracy works with the elderly and runs a Day Club to tackle loneliness, something which has been on the increase since the start of the pandemic.

Both classes enjoyed making the cards and writing what their favourite thing is about Christmas – the classes hope that the cards, which will be sent to lonely people, will bring as much joy and pleasure to them as they did to the children while they were making them.
