Shoscombe Church School has introduced a new initiative for parents who need an earlier drop-off time, whilst also providing children with a healthy breakfast.

School Headteacher, Ruth Noall, said: “Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

“Starting your day with a nutritious breakfast kick-starts your metabolism and provides fuel for your body and brain.

“Besides nutritional value, research has shown a positive link between breakfast and mental alertness and physical performance – which is all essential for children at school.

“By skipping breakfast, you can miss out on important nutrients that you won’t make up for later in the day.”

Each morning, at 7.45 a.m., children are welcomed into the school by staff to be served a selection of cereal and toast. Children of all ages, and all year groups, are welcome to join the breakfast club.
