Underwater adventure has been the talk of Next Steps Nursery this term, thanks to a suggestion from the children.

This child-led learning has been the result of several of the children making submarines during their outdoor play, prompting the staff to provide additional submarine-related activities, including science experiments and painting a huge submarine.

Nursery Manager, Suzanne Dando, said, “it’s great to be able to respond to the children’s own interests and to develop and expand their knowledge and introduce exciting theme-led teaching to match children’s curiosities.”
