STUDENTS and staff at Writhlington School are among those across the Somer Valley who are celebrating a strong set of GCSE results.
Many students surpassed their targets by more than two grades, with some achieving top marks (grades 7-9) across a wide range of subjects.
The school saw exceptional performance in a wide range of subjects, including: Art, Philosophy & Belief, Geography, Hospitality & Catering, Media Studies, Music and Sport.
The school is also highlighting the outstanding achievements of several individual students. Among those who secured top grades are: Zara Kemp, Amelia Wyatt, Lewis May and Kate Robertson.
In addition to these top grades, many students have made good progress.
Standout performers who exceeded their target grades include Fynley Coles, Ned Soan, Robin Haynes, Eleanor Staley, Emily Foster, Alfie Rigby, Martha Elford and Leah Buckland.
Headteacher Keith Howard expressed his immense pride in the students' achievements. He said: “We are incredibly proud of all our students, especially after such a difficult start to their secondary education.
“These results are a testament to their dedication, the unwavering support of their families, and the tireless work of our brilliant teaching staff.
“We are confident they will continue to achieve great things in the future."
