Fresh from the success of its “20 Mendip Men Needed” recruitment campaign in conjunction with Prostate Cancer UK, the choir is now able to confirm all its Christmas arrangements.

Our traditional first Christmas engagement is at St Mary’s Church Timsbury on Monday November 27th at 19.30pm where we are always made most welcome. This is a no ticket event, with mince pies and mulled wine in the interval and a retiring collection.

Our second concert, a social event for their members is being held by Mendip Golf Club on Saturday, 2nd December at 19.30pm.

On Friday, 8th December at 19.30pm we return to Holy Trinity, Church, Combe Down Bath to help raise money for Romanian Orphans.

Concert four, on Saturday, 16th December at 19.30pm at St John’s Anglican Church, Peasedown St John is a new venue for the choir, and we understand some proceeds will be going to Prostate Cancer UK.

Our MMVC Annual Christmas Concert is on Monday, 18th December at 19.30pm at St John’s Church Midsomer Norton. Tickets (www.ticketsource.co.uk/mendip-male-voice-choir) includes interval refreshments supplied by “The Friends of The Choir” who will also be organising a grand raffle. To support Prostate Cancer UK £4 from each ticket and the draw proceeds will go to the charity.

Chairman Richard Luscombe said: “With a wide-ranging selection of concerts we hope you will all be able to come and hear and enjoy the MMVC in the run up to Christmas.”
