A FOOD festival is making a welcome return to Midsomer Norton this October for a delicious day out of celebrating great local and regional producers.

eat:Midsomer Norton will feature food and drink from producers from within a 30 mile radius of Midsomer Norton.

More than 70 food and drink makers including local bakers, farmers, brewers, orchardists, roasters, deli favourites, treat food and Street Food will be appearing at the one-day festival.

Organisers say the festival is low cost for the producers to attend meaning that money goes straight back into local businesses and their communities as well as providing a great festival for the community.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “It’s a free day out and a chance to meet friends whilst discovering something new.

“At an eat:Festival you can expect to find a great range of local food and drink producers, awesome street food and free entertainment like jugglers, DJs, buskers and Punch and Judy shows.

“Family friendly, free to attend and with plenty of entertainment and activities to join in. Choices for the whole family - accessible, inclusive and inspiring.

“Always with a wide range including gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and alcohol free food and drinks.

“If you want to have a bit more elbow room, to get the pick of the produce, we recommend you arrive early!”

eat:Festivals is a not-for-profit social enterprise that specialises in developing festivals that bring the community together, showcase local producers and give businesses the chance to welcome new people into their premises.

During 2026 they are delivering 40 festivals across town and city locations in the South West.

eat:Midsomer Norton takes place on Saturday, October 10 from 10 am to 4pm in Church Square and the High Street with the road closed to vehicles for the day.
