LOCAL business representatives gathered at the SWALLOW Café in Radstock to meet with the Liberal Democrat MP for Frome and East Somerset, and learn more about the work of SWALLOW Charity.
Bev Craney and Nicky Tew from SWALLOW spoke about the charity, while Sakina Buoy from the Somerset Toiletry Company shared their experience of employing Carey, a SWALLOW member, in their café.
Anna Sabine, Liberal Democrat MP for Frome and East Somerset, then talked about what is going on in Parliament and took questions from the guests.
The charity relies on voluntary income to provide support to those in need and currently assists 170 people, with demand continuing to grow. It also receives support from Corporate Friends.
