MORE than 2,000 people came out through troublesome weather for the 2025 running of Peasedown Party in the Park.
The event’s 16th anniversary took place on Saturday, June 14, at Beacon Field in Peasedown St John, and played host to a wide variety of events, such as showcasing over seven hours of live music and entertainment.
Furthermore, there was also a wide array of stalls and attractions for guests to visit, including plenty of hot food, Peasedown Diamond Cider and a dog show.
The main stage saw performances from the likes of The Lone Sharks, Keith Horler, Eleanor Lear, and many more.
Councillors Karen Walker and Gavin Heathcote (Peasedown, Independents) said: “Thank you to everyone who came along to support this year’s Party in the Park festival. It’s been fantastic to see the event grow over the last 16 years.
“From a humble village fete to a festival with over 2,000 people – we couldn’t have done it without the support of the local community.”
The Peasedown St John Community Civic Award was also presented at this event, where it would be won by Chris Champion.
Speaking on the award, Cllrs Walker and Heathcote added: “Thank you to everyone who sent in nominations for this year’s Peasedown St John Community Civic Award. This year we were hugely impressed with the nominations for Chris Champion who, for the last 25 years, has helped keep our village clean.
“Known to many, and often seen driving around in the parish council’s van, he spent over two decades working diligently and with dedication to make sure that Peasedown St John was clean, aesthetically pleasing.
