Some of the most popular and successful entertainment acts in the region are set to perform at this year’s 16th anniversary Party in the Park festival in Peasedown St John.

Since last September, bands have been applying to perform, meaning that some of the stage line-up has been in place since the beginning of the year for the event on Saturday, June 14.

Party in the Park sets aside a budget of over £1,500 each year to cover the costs of PA technical support and stage hire.

The festival is organised by the village’s local councillors, Cllr Karen Walker and Cllr Gavin Heathcote (Independents), who said: “A very large proportion of our festival budget goes on entertainment and all the costs we legally have to spend in connection with it. Without the support of our major sponsors this year, we really would have struggled to put on the spectacular Summer Festival we have planned.”

  • Peasedown St John Primary School Children Local pupils will take to the stage with a selection of songs they’ve been rehearsing for weeks.
