THE Crandon Springs Care Home in Wells recently hosted a series of visits involving therapy animals aimed at providing comfort and engagement for its residents
Therapy ponies Jammy and Sugar, from A Million Memories Pony Parties and Therapy, made a special appearance. These gentle ponies visited residents in the lounge and then went room-to-room, offering nuzzles and affection.
Their presence created a “wonderful atmosphere” throughout the home among residents, staff and visitors, including resident Rose’s great-grandson.
Adding to the joy, Bonnie, a lovable Labrador therapy dog, recently joined residents for a game of doggy bingo before making individual visits.
Her friendly demeanour provided comfort and encouraged conversations among residents, highlighting the therapeutic benefits of canine companionship.
