Norton Hill students had the exciting opportunity to work with artist Adele Cload last week, an ex-Norton Hill student who is currently completing her MA studies at Wimbledon School of Art.

As part of Adele’s artwork she needed to work with students to create internet trolls and memes. During her visit to the school, she worked with several small groups of Year 9 students, using collage to create amusing characters, images and scenes. Adele has then transformed the images into short animations.

The animation and artworks will be displayed on TV screens in shop windows during the Midsomer Arts Festival, which takes place between Saturday, 16th and Sunday, 24th June. Lots of other artworks by students of Norton Hill and Somervale School will be displayed during the Festival, as well as artworks created by the local community. There are many other events taking place, such as the market day in Hollies Garden Saturday, 23rd June, Bath Opera performing La Boheme Friday, 22nd, and a Musical Theatre Showcase Sunday, 17th June.
