Residents in Bathavon parishes, such as Camerton, Dunkerton, Tunley and Wellow are being invited to find out more about the work being carried out to improve people’s health and wellbeing in their area at the next meeting of their Connecting Communities Forum which will be held on Wednesday evening this week (20th October) on Zoom.
Attendees will hear from a representative of Bath and North East Somerset Enhanced Medical Services (BEMS+). BEMS is a group of GP practices who work with other health and care organisations to provide high quality community based clinical services.
The meeting will hear from speakers from Virgin Care; Age UK BANES and the West of England Rural Network Village Agents.
Area Forums are open to all residents and bring together public services, local organisations and residents to improve local engagement, encourage people to talk to each other and share their skills and ideas. There are five Forums in Bath and North East Somerset which are supported by the Council.
Bathavon Area Forum comprises the parished areas of: Bathampton; Batheaston; Bathford; Camerton; Combe Hay; Charlcombe; Claverton; Dunkerton and Tunley; Englishcombe; Freshford; Hinton Charterhouse; Kelston; Monkton Combe; Newton St Loe; North Stoke; Priston; Shoscombe; South Stoke; St Catherine; Swainswick and Wellow.
The other Area Forums are: Somer Valley, Chew Valley, Bath Area and Keynsham. You can find more information and meeting dates on the Council website.
