Older people living in Peasedown St John are being invited to a free Christmas lunch, organised and hosted by the village’s Residents’ Association.

Featuring a traditional festive Christmas meal and Christmas sing-a-long, this is the fifth year running the Association has hosted the event. Joy Gosz, Chair, said: “We really appreciate the role that older people play in Peasedown St John, and the contribution they have made to village life over the years. This is another way for us to say thank you, and to ensure they are treated, with all the trimmings, this Christmas time.”

The Christmas meal for the elderly, and also a Festival Party for children, are being sponsored by B&NES Councillor, Karen Walker (Independent) through her Ward Councillors’ Initiative Fund.

The Peasedown St John Residents’ Association Older Person’s Christmas meal will be held on Thursday, 14th December, at 1 p.m. at St John’s Close Community Room.
