We felt that the surgeries were just to busy to host our raffle draw again this year, and it would not have made much sense with all the awful illnesses going around just now.
The Friends of St Chad’s and Chilcompton Surgeries draw was kindly hosted at the Old Down Inn, Emborough. All twenty-two prizes have now been delivered the lucky winners. The committee enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch and afterwards received a gift from a very generous, but anonymous benefactor, for which we are very grateful.
Extra special thanks go to local businesses – Mitchards the Butchers, Charlotte Ruby’s Holistic Therapies, Bentley Bodyworks and to Maxine at The Old Down Inn at Emborough for their generous support in sponsoring prizes this year. It was good to be back inside the surgery selling tickets this autumn, after two years on the chilly pavement. Thanks to all the patients who supported us, and generally made the days good fun.
Thanks to patients for making our health talks a success this year – mental health and hips & knees. We hope to kick off in Spring with talks on gut health. Talks will be advertised in The Journal and on Facebook. If you have any suggestions for talks, please email [email protected]
We wish everyone a safe and healthy New Year. Our special gratitude goes to the staff at both our surgeries for their superb efforts to keep us all safe and well.
