Plans to replace the old Argos building with a new restaurant seems to have divided Midsomer Norton residents opinions, results from a poll posted to 'X' by The Journal suggest.
Of those who voted, 48.1% of the 106 people said they would like to see a new restaurant in the old Argos building on the High Street, despite comments on The Journal's Facebook post stating otherwise:
The poll resulted in:
- Restaurant: 48.1%
- Gym: 18.9%
- Clothes shop: 20.8%
- Supermarket: 12.3%
Comments on The Journal's X (formerly Twitter) post show some residents and visitors to Midsomer Norton would like more variety in the town, including one X user who posted a Gif with: "Could we add "bowling alley and entertainment complex" to that list please?!"
With another saying: "Midsomer Norton is well served by supermarkets. Don’t go to the town at all that much nowadays but a quick place to get food would be decent. Wanted a drive thru Greggs or something similar at the old Vauxhall site in Chilcompton but that’s not happening."
